Browser Hijacker Virus Removed From The Computer

Browser hijackers are the adware programs which automatically download and show advertising programs. Adware hijacks the browsers like Chrome, Mozilla, IE etc and display unwanted advertising materials in your browser.

How to prevent browser hijackers in your PC ?

Prevention is better than cure, so that consider one thing i.e. preventing the browser hijackers in your PC is far better than curing after being your computer hijacked. Indeed, I have also come with several kind of troubles by browser hijackers. So I am sharing my experience as well as preventing and removing techniques of browser hijackers/malwares/adwares. However, I am not so much expert in this field.

You should do following things on your PC which help you to prevent browser hijackers.
  1. Should enable firewalls of your PC.
  2. Should have an antivirus programs like BitDefender, Kaspersky, Avast etc
  3. Do not open junk sites and p0rnsites
  4. Don't click on pop up ads shown in malware sites
  5. Don't download the programs which do not have publishers ID.
  6. Don't download unknown crack files
  7. Only use applications buying through official stores and sites.
If you consider and follow the above 7 points, then your PC may be out of virus hijackers

How to remove browser hijackers/malwares/adwares ?

Sometimes, you will get such kind of virus which forcefully enters in your PC. And these viruses display ads on your browser automatically which is so irritating. But there are some methods which may help to remove those viruses from your PC. And here I am going to write the methods that I have already come through, in order to remove adware programs.

Step 01: Reset your browser


Chrome Reset:-  To reset chrome, go to top right corner and click on three dots shown there. Now click on "settings" and go to bottom of the page where you see "show advance setting" option. Click on it and scroll down. Now click on reset settings. It's done.

Mozilla Reset: 
Step a: Click on three stack icon
Step b: Choose question mark
Step c: Now select "trouble shooting information" option
Step d: Click on "reset firebox". Now done.

Internet Explorer Reset
Step a: Choose "Internet Option"
Step b: Now click on "Advance Tab"
Step c: And now click on reset button of reset internet explorer setting.


Step 02: Delete unknown publisher programs and suspected programs from Control Panel

Now you have to delete all the programs which do not have the licensed publishers. But sometimes, those programs can not be deleted from control panel. So they should be delete from registry. However, deleting files from registry is so confidential. You should be so careful before removing files from registry. 

Step 03: Delete virus files and folders from programData folder of C Drive

Just go to C drive and find the files and folders which is more likely to hijackers. Such as Ronzap folder. Ronzap folder is made by snap.do hijacker in programData folder of C drive. These files and folders should be deleted.

Step 04: Comment or remove unwanted IP from host file of system32 folder

It is most essential part when you try to remove hijackers from your PC. Just go to windows >> system32. Now open Drivers>>etc. Then edit hosts file. Host file only can be edited by administrator. So point on it and right click and choose open with administrator option. Now remove unwanted IPs.

Step 05: Restart your computer
